Media Matters, which has been "monitoring" Limbaugh's program since 2004, is at least partly resopnsible for this: the organization began a Stop Rush campaign this year to, in Brock's words, "educate advertisers about the damage their financial support of Limbaugh’s program can do to their brands." So an interesting debate over freedom of speech and the Rush Limbaugh controversy is currently playing out on POLITICO's Opinion pages, where Limbaugh Show spokesperson Brian Glicklich has now responded to a column penned by Media Matters For America's David Brock.īrock, founder of the liberal watchdog group, argued yesterday - perhaps hyperbolically - that Limbaugh's financial model had "disintegrated in recent weeks, with at least 100 advertisers reportedly abandoning his radio program." ![]()
